Scott helps direct CCS in Eastern Washington, and leads our Spokane Chapter.

John-Otto is our “Emeritus” Board member. He is a retired Lutheran priest and has been affiliated with P&J activities “forever.” He writes articles, speaks, and shows up everywhere.

Nick Mele, a Bellingham resident, is a retired U.S. diplomat who serves the national Pax Christi movement as an adviser on nuclear issues. He has been a member of Pax Christi USA since 1979, helped build the Nonviolent Peaceforce, and also serves on the Pax Christi International Working Group on Nuclear Disarmament.

Kathy is a Mennonite, lives at the Ground Zero Center for Nonviolent Action, and has extensive experience with missionary work in Africa.

George leads our Tacoma group, is a member of Ground Zero Community and longtime Pacific Life Community member.

Another long-time Pax Christi leader, activist and writer, Jim just finished the book Atomic Pilgrim, about walking with others from the Trident nuclear submarine base at Bangor, Washinton to Bethlehem. He’s our expert on the nuclear industry, and traveled with Archbishops Etienne and Wester to Japan in a delegation of 10, resulting in a Partnership for a World Without Nuclear Weapons that including three Japanese bishops. And he leads our chapter at St. Joseph.

A deacon of 35 years who has worked full-time for the Catholic Church for over 50 years, Denny became Regional Coordinator 8 years ago and serves as a deacon for a 4-church parish area in NE Seattle. Former Jesuit volunteer and Catholic Worker.
